Bella Di Vita Salon Year End Review 2009:

Wow what a year! I want to take this time to personally thank everyone who visited Bella Di Vita Salon this year, I couldn’t have done it without you! It really means a lot to me that you have all given me the opportunity to run my own business. Without your support, referrals and reviews I wouldn’t have been able to keep my doors open. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am grateful every day for every single wonderful person I have met on this journey. I know that I have the best clients in the world!

For all of you that don’t know the origins of Bella Di Vita Salon, here is the story:

I moved from Western (Upstate) NY to Middle TN in January of 2006. After being told by the TN State Board that I would have to go back to school if I wanted to be a hair stylist, I worked odd jobs while trying to save up the money to go to school. After working odd jobs as a server, and selling jewelry (and cars), I found a school that was able help me with financial aid. I attended Paul Mitchell The School of Nashville for 3 1/2 months, finished my hours to satisfy the TN State Board and obtained my license.

I worked in multiple salons in the area trying to find one that had the same standards for their clients as I did. After a while I realized that there was a desperate need for a salon that offered quality hair care with a personal touch. I was honestly amazed after I was told by one salon owner that my trademark shampoo massage took too long, and that “the client doesn’t care about things like that, they just want to get out of here as fast as they can!” That really got me thinking about going into business for myself as my clients have always told me how much they appreciate someone taking the time to go the extra mile for them.

In May of 2009 opportunity knocked on my door, and I answered it. I toured Salon Suites International and knew I had just found my new home. It was everything I had ever wanted; private, secluded, drama free, and most of all…mine! When they told me that I would be in complete control of my business I quickly jumped on the opportunity. With the help of my friends, family and amazing clients I was able to get up and running in just a few short weeks.

After using quite a few different color lines I knew that I wanted to offer a color line that cared as much about my clients hair as I do. Goldwell was an easy choice. They pride themselves on creating hair color (and retail products) that produce vibrant shine, and lasting results. Even their bleaching system adds silk proteins into the hair while it gently lifts the color out! Not to mention the beautiful shades that “glow” in the sunlight.

My website was the next challenge to tackle. I knew I wanted an easy to navigate site, where all the important information could be found with a click of the mouse. After I got the site running I wanted to make it easy for my clients to get ahold of me, so I created the On-line Appointment Form. Texting is big these days so I made sure that clients would know how to get in touch with me via text message. I also created a Twitter account, Facebook account, and a Facebook Fan Page!

After all that was created I devised a way to give back to my clients who are helping me to expand my clientele. My referral program goes like this; for every person that you send my way, I give you a $10 credit to be used towards your next hair service. I have had quite a few people take advantage of this, and my business is steadily gaining speed!

My monthly promotions came about because I want to give back to my clients. Every month I offer a different special, from a free deep conditioning treatment to a free gift certificate! I also send out monthly newsletters to everyone who signs up, and everyone on my newsletter list gets entered into a drawing with 2 prizes every month! The grand prize is a free color and cut, and the runner up receives a free hair cut and shine treatment. The winners are drawn at the end of the month, a few days before the newsletter goes out. Newsletter members have the benefit of knowing what the next monthly special is before any one else!

So to close my story, I ask two things of you…If you have visited Bella Di Vita Salon please send me HONEST feedback on your experience! If you would like to add a review to any of my listings, please see my website, where I have links to all my listings. If you would like to be anonymous, RateYourHD.com allows you to do so and still leave a review and ratings. Or if you would prefer to send me a personal e-mail you may contact me at Jessica@belladivita.com. My second request is if you know someone who would benefit from this newsletter, please feel free to forward it! Thank you so much!

Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!
